When you hear the word AI, most of us think of robots and will not hesitate to imagine flying cars. It's 2023, while there are test mutant vehicles that hover above the ground in Burning Man but at large, most of us still depend on petrol. Some things have not changed even when there are companies that only manufacture electric cars. Why are we talking about flying cars? Well, ChatGPT is no different. Let us explain. First off, what is ChatGPT? This is an AI powered software/search engine tool. It crawls the entire internet and comes up with structured answers for your questions. But why are some people condemning it if it is designed to help?

Here are 3 reasons why ChatGPT CANNOT replace “jobs”?
1.ChatGPT cannot strategise.
Sorry folks, while this AI powered software is powerful, you still need someone who can filter the answers to come up with a strategy. For example, ChatGPT will be able to search for branding strategies but will this be suitable for your business? Chances are probably not.
2.ChatGPT is not a writer/brand manager/sales strategist.
If you have played around with ChatGPT, chances are it could come off as a structured format that has the feel of a human. But, sadly, AI style content will not work for every content pillar. Businesses still need writers who can write content or strategists who can come up with ideas that will appeal to their customers, not dump them with a load of information. Yikes!
3.ChatGPT is limited like other inventions. But it does not mean that it is lesser.
As humans, there are some folks who are threatened by machines and technology and some who are happy to take advantage of these developments. While there could be bosses and entrepreneurs who think that they are saving so much by asking ChatGPT to write their content, rest assured, it will not have the same results as a human who uses the assistance of ChatGPT plus adding on their creative aspect. ChatGPT is designed to support a project and not take over the entire thing.
With the massive layoffs, some folks believe that their jobs may be affected and ChatGPT may have a role to play in that. While maybe this might not be the case for everyone, we understand that the feeling of panic is real. The best you can do during these difficult times is to up skill yourself because no one can take away knowledge that you have acquired. Eventually, when the recession is over, it could be really useful! Now that we are in our era of understanding what AI can really do for us, let’s not allow our fears to get the better of us. At the end of the day, while robots and AI may replace some jobs, humankind will always need the touch of a person in many other jobs. If at all, this is a great opportunity for us to review the workforce and make new changes.
